We didn’t realize right away that it was love. At first, it was just a feeling — as if suddenly there was someone beside me with whom I could breathe more deeply and calmly.

I remember the first time I noticed the way she laughs — sincerely, without holding back. And I thought, “I want to hear that laugh more often.”
And I remember the way she looked at me so attentively, as if in that moment nothing else in the world mattered. That’s when I felt at peace.

We got to know each other slowly. We shared childhood stories, fears, dreams, and silly thoughts we used to be embarrassed to say out loud. With her, I felt for the first time that I didn’t have to play a role. I could be real — tired, messy, funny, serious — any version of myself.

“With her, I feel at home.”
“And with her, I feel free.”

There’s no contradiction in that. Our home is the place where we are free. Where we aren’t judged, but accepted. Where her hand in mine feels like the most natural thing in the world.

We don’t want to hide. We’re happy to say that we love each other. Happy to hold hands in public. Happy to share photos, introduce each other to friends, make plans, and laugh at how differently we imagine the future.

Our love isn’t about grand promises. It’s about a daily choice — the choice to support, to listen, to embrace, even when things are hard. The choice to stay.

And most importantly, we’re happy to share it. Because when love is real, it doesn’t fit inside you. It shines in your eyes. It resonates in your voice. It lives in every “we.”
